Memorial Day in Galion

It was a bright, beautiful and sunny Monday in Galion – a great backdrop for the community’s annual commemoration of Memorial Day. Hundreds of Galionites participated in the parade and/or lined the route from Public Square to Fairview Cemetery, where the ceremony featured speakers, the laying of wreaths, patriotic music, a military flyover, and much more. Veteran Richard Swain, who also currently serves as President of Galion City Council, was the morning’s keynote speaker.
