Local Election Results

It didn’t take too long for Galion voters yesterday to perform their civic duty. In addition to three statewide issues, local voters chose members of Galion City Council and the Board of Education for Galion City Schools. In just one Galion precinct, votes also considered a liquor option request by the Galion AMVETS.

In area election news, Mansfield has a new mayor-elect, as challenger Tim Theaker handily defeated incumbent Mayor Don Culliver. Wynford voters turned down a request to build a new school building by a substantial margin.
