During the winter, GalionLive typically takes a look at what’s heading to nearby Cedar Point for the upcoming amusement park season. Typically, it’s a high-speed coaster or other thrill ride, something the park is known for.
This year, however, the major new feature has nothing to do with tracks, turns, or turning upside down.
New at Cedar Point in 2012 is Dinosaurs Alive! on Adventure Island, a prehistoric-themed attracition featuring over 50 life-size anamatronic dinosaurs.
Adults and kids of all ages will experience the sights and sounds of prehistoric dinosaurs. Wihtin this collection of pre-historic beasts, are three interactive dinosaurs where guests can control the dinosaurs’ sounds or movement.
Guests will also discover a hands-on paleontological dig site where they can uncover dinosaur “artifacts” to take home.
Dinosaurs Alive! on Adventure Island will open on May 12, 2012 and operate daily throughout the season. The attraction is located inside Cedar Point near the entrance to Camp Snoopy. Admission to Dinosaurs Alive! is only $5 with paid admission to Cedar Point.
