A Bucyrus & Crawford County area singing group, United In Harmony has been in existence for almost 4 years and consists of 20 men who “just like to sing”, led by Director/Arranger Chris Quinn and Assistant Director Sam Eichhorn. United In Harmony’s concentration is men’s four part harmony. These men act as musical good will ambassadors for Bucyrus & Crawford County and come from various walks of life. The group’s musical repertoire includes patriotic numbers, Broadway Show Tunes, spiritual, light rock, contemporary music and a little bit of “barbershop”.
UIH does not charge for its services but does accept contributions which are “earmarked” for the purchase of music or sound equipment.
The Group’s unique sound has led them to numerous area performances including area churches and assisted living facilities, civic groups, Bratwurst Festival, Crawford County Fair, Crawford County Community Concert Opening for the US Army Jazz Band, American Legion, Lt. Nick Vogt 5K fund raiser, summer Concert At the Mural series and the National Anthem for the Cleveland Indians in 2012 and upcoming Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game on April 7, 2013.
Although UIH meets weekly to practice at the Bucyrus United Methodist Church and has received aid in other ways from the BUMC, UIH is not sponsored by the Church and its members come from virtually all denominations.
This open public performance at 4:30 PM Sunday, April 14 is in appreciation of the help and support that the Group has received from the Bucyrus UMC. Admission is free but a freewill offering will be taken for the benefit of the Church’s Building Fund.
