    ttweets4Twitter is currently the fastest-growing community networking site, Twitter grew an astounding 1382% in the last year, with daily visits now approaching some 10 million.

    GalionLive! has its own Twitter page, through which we currently communicate with a number of media outlets such as the Columbus Dispatch and Channels 4 and 10 in Columbus; with non-profit organizations such as Experience Columbus, Ohio Wine Tours and the Ohio Arts and Crafts Guild, and with a growing number of other interesting contacts.

    Every other Thursday, we will bring you information gained from “tweets” – individual Twitter entries – that have a connection to the Galion area or might otherwise be of interest to our readers.     Galion on Facebook

    fblogo2Facebook has certainly “taken off” as the current medium of choice for communication among groups, organizations, friends and extended families across the country. There are currently some 200 million registered Facebook users, among which the fastest growing element are those aged 35 and older.

    Current and former Galionites on Facebook that can be counted – by virtue of residence or listing “Galion, Ohio” as their hometown – number at least 2,500. As such, it is developing into a powerful way of generating conversation about our community.
